Christmas proved great for me health wise! My family now owns a Wii, complete with Wii Fit game AND a game of yoga and exercises that uses a motion sensitive camera to correct posture and poses! But the best part of tonight was the evening meal.
Harley waiting to be served.
This sharp yet not bitter cheddar was my dad's Christmas gift. A little dab'll do ya.
Caesar salad with crisp Romaine lettuce and shaved parmesan.
Mom stirs the mushrooms in the cast iron pan.
Beef Tenderloin in the cast iron pan, from a recipe found in Nordstroms Entertaining at Home Cookbook.
Sister and Mom get a big wiff of not just the beef, but the fresh rosemary that covers it!
Harley gets his share of the meal, served raw, after we finish ours.
No Christmas is complete without Cream of Crab soup.
Mom's Cream of Crab is less cream and a lot more crab. She typically triples the amount of crab the recipe calls for and since we normally have a half cup-one cup per person, it's not a complete health killer even with the heavy cream.
This meal is overall very well balanced, and wonderful foods don't have to spell the end of the world when it comes to eating healthy. In fact, some of the most delicious things on this earth are the healthiest around.
Enjoy the foods you love, eat in moderation, and relax.

Merry Christmas, everyone.
