I don't just mean on my food!
I recently started using more natural products on my face. Since I am currently unemployed, by "natural products" I mean things that can also double as food. Olive oil and avocados as moisturisers, for instance!
They're all noncomodogenic and for some reason, when people see oil, they think it'll make them break out. Oil from the sebaceous glands is not the same as oil from an olive, and not all oils will clog pores, some even clear them out! Just as soaps use fat to remove the oils and grime from your body, so do oils help to clear out those pores.
After using a bit of steam or warm water to open those pores up, a bit of olive oil mixed with some avocado (or if you're poor like me, just olive oil is just fine) should be applied all over. I take my palms and rub it all in and add more til I look ridiculously shiny like an Anime character, and let it sit on my face for at least 10 minutes. Bringing out cooler water, I use my palms again to rub the excess off!
It's gentle for around the eyes, and some of the results are instant. My skin is already soft as all get out and the oils helped to soften some scabs from some stress disorder of mine to smooth it all out. All squeaky clean am I!
Olive oil, is there anything it can't do? (Fry, it can't fry, trust me, it cannot FRY.)
Here's my fresh-gettin' face after my at-home-spa funtimes.
