Be divine.
Tonight is a night of steak fries and homemade baby back ribs. Today was a day of carrots, eggs, and chicken. Tonight will not be as bad as one would think, because today was a good day, and having Mom's ribs isn't the end of the world.
I won't eat a ton, of course, but I will eat my fill and I will not feel guilty about it. I never accomplished much in my life when guilt was the thing to keep me going. I'm doing far better with the positive idea of a healthier happier future guiding my decisions.
It's okay to have some of those family comfort foods on the Holidays. The more you stress about the calories in your Grandma's apple crumble, the worse you will feel about yourself and you will miss the entire purpose of being healthy and happy in the first place.
I'm off to eat a rib section and some nice steak fries. Tomorrow will be full of healthy seafood dishes for Christmas Eve, and a small slice of the red velvet cake my sister just made (covered in roasted pecans, I might add.) Nom nom nom.
Hope your Christmas is divine, everyone. Thanks for reading.
